ISLAMABAD LAHORE – The Pakistan People’s Party on Thursday formed a five-member ministerial committee to devise a strategy for the implementation of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s agenda, while the PML-N added one more member to its committee to equalise its strength with that of the PPP committee. Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani named Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Water and Power Minister Raja Parvez Ashraf, Law Minister Babar Awan, Petroleum Minister Naveed Qamar and Adviser to the Prime Minister Raza Rabbani as members of the PPP committee.
“Nawaz has approved an addition to the PML-N committee after discussions with party leadership and the change will be conveyed to the PM within a day or two,” a PML-N senior leader told Pakistan Today, adding, “The fifth member will be from Sindh and will be finalized after consultations.” Ishaq Dar contacted the prime minister on Thursday and apprised him of the formation of the committee by his party leader Nawaz Sharif.
