LAHORE – The Punjab Football Association (PFA) called a meeting Thursday with Muhammad Arshad Khan Lodhi in the chair for the promotion and uplift of football in all districts of Punjab.
PFA officials Siddiq Qadri, Rizwan Ali, Imdad Awan, Khalid Mehmood, Agha Latif, Anis Lodhi were present on this occasion and all of them congratulated Pakistan Football Federation (PFF)’s President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat for becoming the first Pakistani ever to have been elected to the prestigious post of AFC Executive Committee in the 24th Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Congress in Doha, Qatar .
“It is another remarkable achievement for PFF chief as he is also holding three other overseas posts. Faisal is also the only Pakistani person to hold the unique and unprecedented honor of visiting World Cup as member of FIFA/ World Cup Disciplinary Committee last year. He is also Chairman of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Disciplinary Committee since July 15, 2009. None of the previous 16 PFF presidents were able to get a single post from FIFA or AFC,” added Lodhi.
