Lahore – Curtain raiser ceremony for “Faseel-e-Jaan Se Aagay ” (Beyond the Life’s Limit), a drama series jointly produced by Inter Services Public Relations and Communication Research Strategies Private limited (CRS), was held at the Pearl Continental Hotel on Wednesday.
Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik was the chief guest, while ISPR Director General Major General Ather Abbas, Pakistan Television Managing Director Yousaf Baig Mirza, Senior Analyst Shafqat Mehmood and CRS Executive Producer of the drama series Khawar Azhar also spoke on the occasion.
The launch was attended by the media and the social elite including Pakistan Today Editor Arif Nizami and a famous playwright Asghar Nadeem Syed.
During the event the audience was briefed about the project, dimension of the issues it has covered and the heroes; the glorious tribute is being paid to. The theme song of this drama series, “Imtehan Hai Imtehan” and the promos were also presented, which received tremendous response.
The speakers appreciated the efforts of ISPR and CRS and said that the drama series will depict the real role of the army in the war on terror. Rehman Malik said that media could do wonders to win the war against terrorism and it also could also bring unity in the nation. He warned the media of not glorifying the terrorists.
The series is based on 11 true stories of courageous Pakistanis who gave tough resistance to terrorists with their resilience and sacrifices. The drama series will be televised by PTV Home on every Friday at 7:40 pm from January 14, 2011.
According to the CRS officials the drama series is aimed at depicting the courage of Pakistani people and armed forces, which they exhibited during the operation against terrorists and militants in Mingora region. Penned by a young maestro Imran Raza and composed by Sahir ali Bagga, the theme song of the play “Imtihan Hai Imtihan” has been jointly sung by Rahet Fateh Ali and Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan.
Speaking on the occasion, DG ISPR Major General Ather Abbas said that the reason behind the drama series was to pay tribute to the unsung heroes of the Swat operation and to depict what was hidden from the general public. The first launch of this drama series was held at Sheraton Hotel, Karachi last Saturday while the second launching ceremony was held at the Marriot, Islamabad this Monday.
MD PTV Yousaf Baig Mirza said ISPR and PTV had an old relation and whenever PTV presented the ISPR’s production, viewer’s response was overwhelming. He also appreciated the ‘responsible’ role of media in the war against terror. Sahir Ali Bagga sung a special ‘Dua’ at the end of the ceremony which was highly appreciated by the audience. Senior Analyst Shafqat Mehmood said that it was a tremendous achievement of ISPR and there was a dire need to win the war of brains through these methods.
CONCEPT: The drama series brings 11 true stories of courage, resilience and sacrifices of Paksitani people and its valiant armed forces in the face of terror. Its stories revolve around how faith comes to dominate our lives. Both the perpetrator and the victim share same faith, yet they are poles apart in interpreting and teaching its many beliefs and values. The sterling fight back against the imposition of a rigid order and territorial usurpation in the name of religion is at the core of this series. Zafar Meraj, Wasi Shah, Sajjad Saji and Amir Raza are the playwrights of this drama series. In the first season six stories will come on air which displayed along.
