CTO urges citizens to download driving licence forms

LAHORE – Lahore Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain (r) Ahmed Mubeen on Thursday urged citizens to download driving license forms from websites of the City Traffic Police if they are facing hurdles in approaching traffic headquarters. In a statement issued, Lahore CTO Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mubeen said that measures were being taken to facilitate citizens. The CTO said that traffic police have uploaded driving license forms on its official websites, www.ctplhr.gov.pk and www.rasta.com. He warned citizens that medical certificates obtained from uncertified doctors would not be accepted.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ali Iftikhar Jaffery said that following special directives of the CTO, method of testing for licenses was being upgraded. He vowed that international licensing standards would also followed by the traffic police. The DSP said that he along with Motor Vehicle Officer Malik Liaqat was chalking out a comprehensive method of conducting tests for LTVs and HTVs.
