KARACHI – At least nine people including three activists of ANP and two of MQM were killed in separate incidents on Wednesday.Three ANP activists were gunned down after a clash with the Muttahida Organising Committee, a sister wing of the MQM, in Bhittaiabad on Wednesday morning.
Khayal Wazir, son of Muhammad Wazir, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen near the ANP Ward in Bhittaiabad. He was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities.Within 10 minutes of the incident, another ANP activist identified as Saleem Durrani, son of Agha Jan, was shot dead while returning from Bhittaiabad ward office. He was shifted to the JPMC for a post-mortem.
The entire area of Pehlwan Goth echoed with gunfire as armed persons took positions on rooftops of apartment buildings.Another ANP activist named Shahid Ghouri alias Commando was gunned down by two motorcyclists outside his house in Bhittaiabad.He body was taken to the JPMC for legal formalities and handed over to the heirs.
