LAHORE – The members of the Technical Study Group (TSG) will help Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) develop strong national as well as age group teams for the future international assignments.
They will select 50 upcoming players from the 32-matches of ongoing PFF-KESC Lyari U-14 Football League that commenced at Karachi’s Peoples Sports Complex on January 8. As many as seven matches are being completed in 17-day event so far whose final is scheduled for same venue on January 24.
The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) in collaboration with KESC is organising the 16-team event. Former national skipper Zafar Iqbal, SSGC’s
assistant coach M Javed, former international youth and head coach of Aga Khan Mohsin Gillani and Khalid Nawaz are in the TSG. PFF Operational Wing had formed TSG under the directive of Faisal Saleh Hayat to evaluate the technical abilities of all the 16 participants at two venues of Lyari Town.
Faisaladded: “The ultimate aim of TSG is to form a technical report after the event which will examine the 16 team’s action in all areas. The group examines each team’s tactical strategy, looks at the coaches, throws up discussion points for the future, chooses its favorite goals and identifies the players who have made a particular contribution.”
