LAHORE – Open auction of shops in the newly constructed Park n Ride Plaza, at the prime location of Liberty Market, will be held on January 26, 2011 and the proceedings will be conducted in the presence of print and electronic media for ensuring transparency. LDA Additional Director General Ihsan Ul Haq informed this while briefing an eight member Turkish delegation of state owned development company ISBAK, visitors of the Lahore Development Authority head office on Tuesday.
Transport Punjab Secretary Captain (R) Muhammad Yousaf was also present on the occasion. Ihsan Ul Haq informed the visitors about the initiatives of LDA for infrastructure and business development in Lahore. He stated that the new commercialisation policy of LDA was being finalised which would help promote investment and business opportunities in the city. He claimed that the concept of Central Business District (CBD) has been introduced in order to provide better facilities for business centers. This area will start from Mozang Chungi and will comprise areas surrounding Jail Road, Main Boulevard Gulberg and MM Alam Road.
