LAHORE – Pakistan team manager Intikhab Alam has given the all the credit of win in the opening Test match against New Zealand to captain Misbahul Haq. Talking from the New Zealand to DW, Intikhab said under Misbah the whole team fought as a unit.
All coaches also played their part and its wonderful gift of new year to the whole nation. Intikhab, who was the captain when Pakistan won their maiden series against the Black Caps in 1973, said that this team will not let the golden chance slip away. “To win a Test series after five long years would be a great achievement,” he added. Pakistan has not won a single Test series since beating Brain Lara’s West Indian team in 2006 at home.
