LAHORE – Frontier Post, Lahore Garrison and Bank Alfalah registered wins on day two of the Cool & Cool Lahore Open Polo Cup here at the Lahore Polo Club grounds on Tuesday.
The Alam brothers, Shah Shamyl and Shah Qubali, Hamza Mawaz Khan, Shaukat Ali Malik and Ahmed Zubair were the stars of the day for their respective teams. In the opening match of the day, Frontier Post humbled Pakistan Air Force 8-3. Shamyl led Frontier Post to a comfortable win with seven goals including two hat-tricks. Manzoor produced two goals from the losing side. In the 2nd match, Lahore Garrison stunned Remounts 7-3.
Shaukat Ali Malik and Ahmed Zubair shared three goals each in Lahore Garrison win while Lt. Col. Asif Zahoor brought two goals for the defeated side. In the last game of the day, Bank Alfalah routed First Law 10-3. Shah Qublai Alam and Hamza Mawaz Khan added three and four goals respectively while Waseem Sial and Raja Temur Nadeem contributed two and one goal respectively in the win. Raja Amer Khan got two goals on the board from the rival quartet.
Umpires for the matches were Zain Khan Khakwani, Raja Arsalan Najeeb, Saqib Khan Khakwani, Naveed M Sheikh, Malik Azam Hayat Noon and Ahmad Nawaz Tiwana.
