LAHORE – Pakistan’s football fans will get a chance to witness FIFA-recognized international games when the Palestine football team tours Pakistan in late February. Pakistan Football Federation (PFF)’s President Faisal Saleh Hayat met with Palestinian Football Association (PFA)’s President Al Rajoub Jibril in the 60th FIFA Congress last year, during which and they both agreed to hold a bilateral series in preparation for the upcoming AFC Challenge Cup, World Cup and Olympics Qualifiers and SAFF/WAFF Championship.
The Palestine team, under goalkeeper Ramzi Saleh, will tour Pakistan for the first time in the last week of February to play two matches against the hosts.Palestine will play two matches against Pakistan on February 27 at Lahore and on March 2 at Karachi. Pakistan will make a return visit for two matches in April-May. Meanwhile, football lovers have termed Palestine’s visit as a landmark in the history of Pakistan football.
