KBP to distribute agricultural inputs

LAHORE – Kisan Board Pakistan (KBP) has launched a program to ensure the proper distribution of agricultural inputs among the farmers of flood affected areas.
The KBP will be distributing agricultural inputs amongst deserving candidates in flood ravaged districts of Mianwali, Bhakkar, DG Khan, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Rahimyar Khan, Bahawalpur and Multan. KBP Central President Sardar Zafar Hussein Khan reached Uch Sharif in first phase of this campaign of the board, KBP Central Secretary Information Haji Muhammad Ramzan indicated. Ramzan said that the board would be providing free seed and fertiliser worth up to Rs five million among flood hit cultivators of the targeted districts.
KBP Uch Sharif wing also held a simple ceremony to welcome KBP president and vice president and the leaders assured farmers afflicted by the floods that they could count on KBP in the process of their rehabilitation. They said the board had always supported farmers in hard times and would continue to do so. They claimed that KBP would continue to extend relevant aid to flood affected farmers for current crop.
Star Farm conference to be held today
LAHORE – The Agriculture Department and Metro Cash & Carry Star have jointly organised the Farm Initiative-Suppliers Conference. The government of the Punjab, in collaboration with China, is launching the Star Farm Initiative for boosting agricultural productivity, quality, traceability, marketability and revenues in the Punjab.
According to the spokesman of Agriculture Department CM Punjab will inaugurate the conference. Managing Director Star Farm Hans Peter and Metro Group International Affairs Vice President Anton Kjnife will introduce the business model of Star Farm. Staff Report
