QUETTA – The court of Quetta-V additional district and session judge on Saturday rejected the bail application of Shahzain Bugti and his 26 guards and party activists.
Shahzain, provincial president of the Jamhoori Watan Party, and his party workers were arrested by Frontier Corps three weeks ago on charges of possessing illegal weapons.
Judge Dawood Khan Nasar rejected the bail application, saying after the recovery of the arms and ammunition from Shahzain’s possession, the court was not inclined to grant bail to the accused.
Talking to reporters, Shahzain’s lawyer Vishva Noth Kohli said an application will be filed in the Balochistan High Court for the bail of the JWP leader and others.
