Pak Asia storm into LPL semis

LAHORE – Pak Asia reached the semi-finals of the Lahore Premier League Cricket Tournament, beating Mega Star by five wickets here on Thursday.
Bating first, Mega Star made 230 runs for the loss of five wickets. Saadulha Gori (102), Rizawn Ahmad (36), Haseeb Bhati and Hafiz Aamir (27 each) were the top scorers for Mega Star. Pak Asia’s Roni Gil took three wickets while conceding 25 runs. Shahbaz Khorsheed and Ghulam Rasool took one wicket each.
In reply, Pak Asia achieved the target after losing five wickets. Irfan Hadier (84), Sheraz Butt (44) and Atiq Ahamad (30 not out) all chipped in to ensure victory for Pak Asia. Mega Star’s Rizwan Ahmad took three for 31 while Umar Sabir and Khrum shared one wicket each.
Mega Star’s Saad Ulha Gori was declared man of the math on his brilliant 103. LCCA Tournament Committee Chairman Muhmmad Sarwar was the chief guest and gave the award to Gori.
