LAHORE – The Lahore Bar Association’s (LBA) election board has announced the final list of candidates contesting the annual election. According to the list, Abdul Latif Hanjra, MR Awan, Shahzad Hassan Sheikh and Zia-ud-Din Ansari are candidates for the seat of president.
Abdul Rehman Gondal, Ali Nawaz Butt, Arif Mahmood Chaudhry Azfar Kamal Kharal, Chaudhry Liaqat Ali Pannu, Fida Hussain Mata and Malik Sultan Ahmad are candidates for two seats of vice president. Mian Hafeez and M Riaz Bhatti are running for vice president (Model Town Seat).
Farhad Ali Shah, Jawad Akbar Gill, Rana Intizar Hussain and Sahid Maqsood Bhulla will run for two seats of secretary. Faisal Sagheer Rana, Chaudhry Shahid Nawab, Chaudhry Shahid Mahmood, Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti, Miss Mubeen Akhtar And Atif Raza Iqbal Sheikh will compete for joint secretary. For finance secretary, Azeem A Sheikh, Azmat Nazeer Hashmi and Hafiz Mushtaq Ahmad Naeemi are in the run. Chaudhry Muhammad Hafeez Rafique, Sheikh Muhammad Amir will run for the seat of library secretary, while Sheikh Tariq Hussain has been elected auditor unopposed. The election will be held on January 15.
