Forces kill six militants in Kurram Agency

PESHAWAR – At least six militants were killed and three injured in a clash with the security forces in Lower Kurram Agency on Thursday.
The officials said a group of militants attacked the security forces check-post at Saif Ul Dara area and that the security forces retaliated and gunned down six militants. Three militants were
injured in the clashes.
The local tribesmen said that notorious militant commander Gul Sharif, his son and a nephew were also among the dead. The identity of others was yet to be established, they added.
Meanwhile, the local administration has rounded up 25 tribesmen from
Dorzani village near Sadda Town of
Kurram Agency.
The arrests were made for investigation into militants’ attacks on convoy of cargo trucks in the area. As many as 22 of trucks have been looted by militants, who would later set the vehicles on fire.
