LAHORE – The Pakistan Hockey Federation will take disciplinary action against the players who speak against the federation, says PHF Secretary Asif Bajwa. Talking to journalists here at the National Hockey Stadium, Bajwa said that all the players are bound to observe PHF’s code of conduct and any player violating the law would face action.
He further stated that the grant announced by the Prime Minister will hopefully be released after procedural within a month.
National team coach Dutch Michel van den Heuvel will be watching the players during the forthcoming National Hockey Championship to be held at Faisalabad.
Bajwa said that as long as a player is actively playing, he is everyone’s star, but when he retires, no one cares about him. So in view of that, a players’ association is necessary.
