It is tragic to see how three constables, one of them associated with the duty wing, were caught red-handed. They were trying to loot a house in Dhoke Syedan and later sent to Adiala jail past week. The constables intruded into the house carrying a 0.30 calibre pistol. However, the inmates overpowered them and reported to the police. In the incident, a sub-inspector was also booked for negligence.
When the saviours of the law step outside its domain, the law in itself becomes a crime. It is imperative for authorities to take strict notice of such actions. Police of Pakistan needs to be a role model in the current situation, especially at the grass root level.
