Lahore – The Lahore High Court on Thursday held that appointment of government officers is a policy matter of the government and they had no privilege to get posted at stations of their liking. Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed made these observations while reserving judgment on a petition challenging the appointment of Rafiq Wahla as director sports of Government College University, Faislabad. The petition was filed by a teacher of same institution, Imtiaz Ahmad, pleading that Wahla’s appointment was made on fake documents and he did not possess required experience for the job. He said he met the required criteria but he was ignored and prayed the court to set aside the notification of Wahla’s appointment.
