LAHORE – Former skipper Shoaib Malik has said he would stage a comeback in international cricket very soon.
Malik was left out of Pakistan’s preliminary 30-member squad for the World Cup 2011. Malik said he was disappointed at the selectors’ decision especially when he was not given any reason. Malik said that the Pakistan Cricket Board and the selection committee members were avoiding him and were not giving him any reason for their attitude.
Malik said that missing the World Cup was hurting but added he would work hard to stage a comeback. The PCB had doubts about Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal, Danish Kaneria and Rana Naved. They have also made enquiries about the players’ credits and bank accounts.
