I remember when I was in Karachi and my friend asked me to come over to him in the Karachi University (KU), it was alarming for me that I could enter without showing any form of identity. The KU has many entrances to it. The NED is connected to Muskan with an internal road going through the KU. Some people go across KU who literally have nothing to do with it.
At a time when the commercial capital faces turmoil, it is important to revive such security measures. Terrorism cannot be stopped overnight but they surely can be made more difficult and decreased with concrete steps.
