MADRID – Real Madrid’s Brazilian midfielder Kaka is in “perfect shape” following the knee surgery he underwent in August, the Belgian doctor who performed the operation said in comments published Wednesday. “Kaka needed to have the surgery, he could not play with the pain he was feeling and the treatment he has had since the operation has been perfect,” sports daily Marca quoted Doctor Marc Martens as saying.
“Now he has a new knee, it is like he had never had the operation. He is in perfect shape.” Kaka, 28, underwent surgery on his left knee on August 5 and only returned to training last month. He returned to action for the first time since his operation on Monday, coming on the pitch in the 75th minute of Real’s
3-2 Spanish league win at Getafe.
