ISLAMABAD – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (R) Syed Deedar Hussain Shah said on Wednesday that the corruption has overwhelmed the entire society and it must be dealt seriously. He expressed these views while chairing the NAB’s Executive Board Meeting held here on Wednesday at the NAB headquarters.
The meeting also approved four references to be filed in respective accountability courts. These include references against Noor Jamal from Pak PWD for assets beyond means, Gulraiz Ahmed Raza and others officials from the federal bureau of revenue (FBR) for the bogus sales tax refunds amounting to Rs 30 million, Munshi Sheruddin Lashari from Malir, Karachi for depriving Pak Ideal Housing Society by transferring 35 acres of land by bogus entries in revenue records and Muhammad Nadeem Khan for misappropriating Rs 26 million in Allied Bank Limited (ABL) Quetta. The meeting also approved inquires against Mian Arshad for money laundering, Raza Zaheer Ali from Burewala for forcibly taking away stocks from godowns pledged with Bank Al-Habib, Naeem Farooqi Balochistan University’s former registrar for misusing funds and Islamabad CBR Employees Cooperative Housing Society President Mubeen Gul Khan.
The board decided to refer few cases back for in-depth analysis and procurement of further evidence about such cases.
When the corruption of Gulraiz has been proved then why he is still in working. If it has not proved but sufficient evidence is available then why he is not suspended yet and allow to continue his corrupt activities. What is the difference stands between these culprits and the honest employees. This guy and his colleagues should be punished immediately otherwise no mark of difference should develop.
