LAHORE – The Lahore High Court Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry Monday dismissed a petition filed earlier by as many as 15 Inspectors of the Punjab Police to question their suspension and transfer to the Lines. On the petition of Saifullah and others, the court said, it cannot interfere in the service matters, the like in hand, which are regulated by the Inspector General of Police, Punjab.
The petitioner inter alia, had contended that they have been penalized for unfounded corruption charges when the fact is, they did nothing of that kind but fell victim to vengeance and wrath of superiors.
