LAHORE – Former principal secretary to General (r) Pervez Musharraf, who had gone missing two days ago, reached home by himself on Sunday. Col (r) Manzoor told his family that he had gone to meet his friends to celebrate the New Year and nobody had kidnapped him.
Col (r) Manzoor went missing from outside his house in DHA’s X-Block and his family had registered a kidnapping case on Saturday. Investigation Officer (IO) of the case Siddique said that Col (r) Manzoor has given him a written statement that he had gone to meet his friends and nobody had kidnapped him. Following the written statement, the case is discharged, said the IO.
Robber shot by accomplice arrested: Sabzazar Police arrested a robber, who was shot and injured by his accomplice during an attempted robbery late on Sunday. The robbers injured a citizen for resisting when the two were escaping. As per details, two robbers, yet to be identified, stormed into Bismillah Super Store located in Hanjerwal Police area and held the inmates on gun point.
Robbers have snatched Rs 90,000 in cash and mobile phones from the scene and were escaping when the aforementioned super store’s security guard offered resistance. The security guard tried to capture one of them due to which the other opened fire on the security guard. The bullet hit the robber.
The injured robber’s accomplice helped him and the two managed to exit the super store. Only a few yards away from the super store, the two robbers shot injured a rickshaw driver, Arshad, who tried to stop them. Here Sabzazar Police Station Muhafiz Squad officials arrived and the robbers opened fire.
Police officials retaliated. During cross fire, the injured robber lost his balance and fell from their motorcycle. His accomplice managed to escape. Police arrested the injured robber and registered a case against him.
