Irrfan Khan who has become a craze in the US because of his role in the daily soap ‘In Treatment’ is ecstatic at the way his international career is going. Like his ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ costar Anil Kapoor, Irrfan’s career overseas is on an upswing. Before leaving for Taiwan to shoot for Ang Lee’s the ‘Life of Pi’, an excited Irrfan said,
“2011 looks to be a great year for me. I will be playing the villain in the Spider Man franchise…and my agents are in talks for a couple of other international assignments.” At home too, Irrfan has Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ coming in February and later in the year he will be seen as the protagonist in one of the most awaited films of the year-‘Pan Singh Tomar’. From where he is positioned, things look super good for this talented Indian actor who can be described as India’s most successful export to the west.
