LAHORE – The 2nd Neurointervention and Therapeutic Training workshop will be held from January 3 at the Lahore General Hospital (LGH) during which senior consultants, including interventional neurologist of Western General Hospital Edinburgh Dr Peter Keston, will deliver lectures and perform various interventional procedures of Neuroangiography, mostly under general anesthesia.
A number of young doctors from LGH, Shoukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, Sheikh Zyed Hospital and Pakistan Psychiatric Research Center will participate in the workshop. PGMI Principal and LGH Prof Dr Tariq Salah-ud-Din is the patron of the workshop whereas LGH Neurosurgery Head Prof Anjum Habib Vohra and LGH Chief Neuroradiologist Dr Umair Rasheed Chaudhry are the chief coordinator and the coordinator of the workshop respectively.
On the orders of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, a few months back, a latest neuroangiography machine costing Rs 200 million have been installed in the hospital. It is the first neuroangiography machine in the public sectors hospitals, which have provided latest diagnostic as well as treatment facilities to the patients of head injuries and brain diseases.
