ISLAMABAD – Seven people sustained bullet injuries on Saturday in a shootout between two groups in village Karlot in the Bhara Kau Police Station precincts, on the outskirts of the federal capital.
Members of two groups led by Sher Asif and Raja Nasir opened fire on each other, injuring seven people. The dispute arose out of a refusal to a marriage proposal. The injured were taken to PIMS and Federal Government Services Hospital.
Source in PIMS said that two of the injured were in a serious condition. Police conducted a search operation after the incident and took 27 people into custody. “We have seized three rifles and ammunition in raids,” the Bhara Kau station house officer told Pakistan Today. He said a case had been registered and investigations begun.
