Kasur, Okara schools shine in CM Sports Cup

LAHORE – The second phase of the Chief Minister’s Cup entered an interesting phase as competitions were held at Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Kasur, Okara and Muzafargarh.
At Kasur, boys competition in athletics, football, volleyball and girls competitions in volleyball and badminton were held.
S Ali won the 100m race while Ghulam Rasool and Mobeen Yasir got second and positions. The 800m race winner was Muhammad Azam. Mohammad Irfan from tehsil Pattoki and Mohammad Sajid from tehsil Kasur were second and third respectively. In shot putt, Mohammad Nadeem from Pattoki was the winner while Mohammad Sarfaraz of Kasur and Mohammad Azhar of Pattoki was second and third respectively.
In long jump, S Ali of Kot Radha Kishan was the winner and was followed by Mohammad Nadeem of Pattoki. In football competitions, Tehsil Pattoki beat Chunian while Kot Radha Kishan secured third place beating Kasur. Kasur won the boys volleyball match against Pattoki while girls volleyball and badminton titles went to Chunnian and Kasur players respectively. The semi-final football competitions were held between Government High School 2/1 L Renala Khurd and Government High School Kot Shaukat Sultan Depalpur as well as Government High school 27/4R Okara and Government High School Chapli Depalpur at Municipal Stadium Okara. The Government High School 2/1L Renala Khurd beat Government High School Kot Shaukat Sultan Depalpur whereas Government High school Chapli beat Government High School 27/4R Okara. The district sports officer Okara was the chief guest at that occasion. The girls volleyball semi-final and final matches were held at Government Girls Model High School Okara. The semi-final girls volleyball match was won by Government girls Satluj High School Okara and Government Girls Model High School whereas Government Girls Model High School Okara was the winner for final volleyball match. The girls athletics events held at Jinnah Stadium Okara and was won by Government High School Bahadurnagar Okara. Government High School Akbar Okara won the volleyball final. In district Sahiwal, final boys football match was won by Government High School Chichawatni whereas the girls final volleyball match was won by Government Girls Pilot High School Sahiwal. In boys football, the semi-final matches were held at Government high school 89/6R Sahiwal.
