QUETTA – The Balochistan Levies on Thursday found four bodies of missing persons in Kechh district’s border town of Mund, some 500 kilometres west of Quetta.
According to police, the levies got a tip off after which they searched and found four bodies Mund, close to Iranian border. They were taken to a local levy station to be dispatched to Turbat District Headquarter Hospital for autopsy.
The men had been shot with a pistol at pointblank range in the heads and all bodies bore torture marks.
Three were identified as Niamatullah, Attaullah, and Muhammad Shoaib while the identity of the fourth one could not be established.
Niatmat and Attaullah were picked up on August 23 and October 24 respectively while Shoaib was abducted on September25.
While talking to reporters, Voice for Baloch Missing Persons Chairman Nusrullah Baloch claimed that intelligence agencies had picked up the four with the help of paramilitary forces, and tortured them in their illegal confinement before killing them.
He said over 70 bodies of missing persons were found who were killed by the state agencies who had no respect for the law or the courts while no human rights organisations, national or international, had raised any voice for the abuse of human rights in Balochistan.
