1,610 wardens will man traffic on New Year eve

LAHORE – Lahore City Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain (r) Ahmad Mubeen said on Thursday that additional wardens would be deployed to control traffic flow on New Year Eve and traffic rules violators would be punished.
Giving details, he said that 12 DSPs, 76 inspectors, 1,610 wardens and around 11 emergency squads have been formed under provision of divisional officers, which would be deployed at the Mall Road, Jail Road, Ferozepur Road, Main Boulevard, Defence and on other important roads. Mubeen directed circle officers to mark the roads, which might be used for one-wheeling and racing and violators be handed over to police.
