PCB employs spy agencies to probe cricketers’ assets

LAHORE – The Pakistan Cricket Board’s integrity committee has asked the three sidelined cricketers to explain the details of their assets.
It has been learnt that the PCB has also held secret investigation to check the details of the players’ assets and for the purpose it has also acquired the help of government agencies.
The PCB has asked Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Malik and Danish Kaneria to submit the details of their assets and also requested the ICC to grant extension in date of announcement of the team for the World Cup.
The PCB selection committee is insisting on the selection of these three players and wants the integrity committee to take the harsh decision of declaring them a discard.
However, it has been learnt that the players have given all the details of their legal belongings and the integrity committee is deliberating on the authenticity of the assets’ details.
The committee will meet the selection committee today (December 30) after holding meeting with the players and the final decision of their selection will be taken on the directions of the integrity committee which is working on the instructions of the ICC.
