Lahore – The second phase of the Chief Minister’s Cup is in full swing at the high school level, with the finalists displaying excellent performances on Wednesday.
The inter-tehsil boys’ football competitions were held at the districts Bhuwana, Laalian and Chiniot.
In Chiniot, Laalian got a walkover over Bhuwana after accidents of two players from Bhuwana team. Laalian beat Chiniot in the second match.
In Faisalabad, Tehsil Faisalabad city beat Tehsil Samundri in girls’ volleyball. In the boys’ volleyball competition, Tehsil Samundri and Tandianwala were declared the winners of the competitions held at Government Higher Secondary School. In Muzaffargarh, Govt. Girls High School won the girls’ volleyball match at their home ground. The boys’ volleyball tournament was held at Faisal stadium with various tehsils Muzafargarh, Alipur, Kot Addu and Jatoi participating.
In district DG Khan, girls’ volleyball, badminton, long jump and rally race competitions were held along with boys’ football, badminton, volleyball and athletics competitions of 100m, 200m, 400m, 100×4 m rally race, 800m race and long jump. Government English Medium Model school Khanewal won the girls’ volleyball 25-10 and 25-4. In boys’ athletics, Asif Imran won in the 400m race whereas Haji Arshad won the 800m race.
In Sargodha, the 100m race was won by Babar Khan. Qasim Ali won the the 800m race, while Munazir Hussain was the winner for the long jump event.
