LAHORE – Pakistan People’s Party Secretary General Senator Jahangir Badr said on Wednesday that it was fact former president Pervez Musharraf was responsible for the assassination of the former PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto.
“This is not an allegation but it had been proved in UN inquiry commission report,” he said, adding providing foolproof security to two-time former prime minister was responsibility of the then Musharraf administration. Earlier, Musharraf told a lie when he said that Benazir was killed being hit by lever of the vehicle, Senator Badr pointed out.
On the other hand, the investigations revealed that the former PPP chairperson was killed being hit by a bullet, he said. To a question, he said that Benazir was a political leader therefore it was her right to respond to slogans of the party workers. In what book it was written that she should not come out of the car, he held.
