Six militants killed in Swat

MINGORA – Six militants were killed while security forces’ three personnel were injured during their clashes with each other at three different places in Swat Valley, the officials said.
They said that a group of militants attacked the personnel of security forces at Utroor Kalam and injured two personnel of the security forces. They added that personnel of the security forces repulsed the attack and shot dead two militants.
The killed militants were identified as Shams Ur Rehman son of Mohammad Zarin and Noor Ul Hadi son of Mohammad Gulab, they said adding that both of them were residents of Utroor Kalam and were released couple of days back.
Similar attack against the personnel of security forces reported in Chuparyal area of Matta Tehsil, causing injuries to one Jawan. In retaliation,
the attack was repulsed and the official claimed killing of three militants. The killed militants were identified as Hussain, Akbar and Ata Ullah.
Meanwhile, Sardar a notorious militant commander from Parai area near Barikot was killed mysteriously and his dead body was found on Monday while the dead body of militant commander Mohammad Alam Gul was found in Zarakhela Shamozai in Swat district.
