LAHORE – The Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) contracted slightly on Tuesday showing a slight improvement in the volume. The LSE 25-index fell by 13.90 points to close at 3,667.79 against its opening of 3,680.90. The volume of the market was 4.70 million shares,
which was 2.1 million shares more than Monday’s turnover of 2.6 million shares. Out of 130 active scrips, 21 went up, 41 declined and 68 showed no change in their opening values.
Lotte Pakistan PTA was the volume leader with 0.71 million share turnover and it lost Rs 0.30 to close at Rs 13.26 against its opening at Rs 13.56. NBP was the second volume leader with 0.39 million shares turnover and it also added Rs 0.48 to close at Rs 72.76 against its opening at Rs 72.28.
Fauji Fertiliser was a major gainer and it added Rs 1.70 to close at Rs 124.81 against its opening at Rs 123.11. Engro Corporation was a major loser and lost Rs 6.87 to close at Rs 192.33 against its opening at Rs 199.20.
