LSE adds value, volume drops

LAHORE – The Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) remained range-bound on Monday with a significant decline in volume. The LSE-25 shares gained 9.06 points to close at 3,680.90 against its opening at 3,671.84 levels.
The volume of the market was at 2.6 million shares, which is 2.68 million shares less than Friday’s turnover of 5.29 million shares. Out of 130 active scrips, 40 went up, 17 declined and 73 showed no change in their opening values. Lotte Pakistan PTA was the volume leader with 0.4 million share turnover and it added Rs 0.06 to close at Rs 13.56 against its opening at Rs 13.50.
Arif Habib Corporation was the second volume leader with a 0.29 million share turnover and it also added Rs 1.19 to close at Rs 25 against its opening at Rs 23.81. Attock Refinery was the major gainer and it added Rs 2.15 to close at Rs 121.70 against its opening at Rs 119.55. DS Industries was the major loser and lost Rs 0.14 to close at Rs 1.85 against its opening at Rs 1.99.
