It is not Quaid’s Pakistan

Punjab Chief Minister, while addressing the 134th birth anniversary function of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, said that it was not the Pakistan that was envisaged by the Founder of the Nation, as notorious, corrupt and fake degree holders have become the decision makers.

He was right about what the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah wanted the country to be: free from the evils of sectarianism, nepotism, terrorism and corruption. Ironically, it is the PML(N), Chief Ministers own political party, whose MNAs and MPAs form the majority of the fake degree holders?

Has the Chief Minister forgotten that in his first tenure as Chief Minister, Imam Bargahs were burnt and many Shia doctors and leaders were killed? Only a few months ago, the worship place of Ahmedis was attacked and the Chief Minister never visited the victims families to console them.

Your law minister is openly supporting religious extremist organisations. As for the nepotism, you know how many close relatives and your family members are Senators, MNAs and MPAs. It was also the PML(N) that started distributing envelops to the journalists.

There are many corruption references against your brother in the court. Did you not reward former Chief Justice with allotment of government accommodation because he issued the stay order on your disqualification? Please, stop fooling the people. You too have contributed in the destruction of Quaids dream of a country. You are as much responsible for the corruption as are others.
