LAHORE – Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Punjab on Monday arrested an FIA Punjab forensic expert for embezzling case evidence in renowned Operation Gold case.
FIA sources claim a couple of months ago FIA investigators unearthed the gold smuggling and arrested the culprits involved.
The case was named Operation Gold. FIA investigators recovered three mobile from the arrested accused persons as case evidence and handed over these mobile phones to FIA Punjab forensic expert Rizwan Sabir to prepare a forensic report.
Rizwan Sabir of National Response Centre for Cyber Crimes (NR-3C) returned two mobile phones to the investigators while embezzled one mobile phone.
The FIA Punjab Anti Corruption Circle registered a case against Rizwan Sabir on the complaint of Deputy Director NR-3C. After completing its’ inquiry, the FIA arrested him.
