Farhat finds form in Quaid Trophy

LAHORE – Pakistan opener Imran Farhat hammered a century to lift his team HBL to 226 on day two of the four-day Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match against NBP here at the Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.
In another match, SNGPL provided Wapda first innings lead after they were all out for 141 at the LCCA ground.
National Bank resumed their innings at 190 runs for eight and their remaining two players failed to add any score to the total and were sent back by Sarnmad Anwar, who took four wickets in the first innings. After starting their second innings, HBL though did not bat well but Farhat produced 101 runs to give support to an otherwise miserable batting collapse. He got some support from Danish Kaneria who made useful 48 runs off 70 balls.

At the LCCA Ground, Wapda extended their lead over SNGPL by adding 138 runs for three in second innings. They made 227 in the first innings and then bowled out SNGPL to 141 in 46.2 overs. SNGPL began their innings at 25 for two and went down to Sarfraz Ahmed and Kashif Raza who shared four and five wickets respectively.
Later in its second innings, Wapda’s Ali Azmat completed his 59 runs in 108 balls and by the close of play he was still at the crease.
