QUETTA – All parliamentary groups in the Balochistan Assembly (BA) have expressed their complete confidence in the leadership of Chief Minister Aslam Raisani. A meeting of eight parliamentary groups was held at the CM Secretariat on Saturday with Raisani in the chair.
The participants expressed confidence in the performance of the provincial government and reiterated their resolve to continue the struggle for the development of the province and resolution of its problems. The meeting hailed Raisani’s efforts for taking an effective stand at every level for the resolution of long standing problems of Balochistan and the promotion of an atmosphere of reconciliation.
Meanwhile, Quetta Police foiled a terrorist attack by seizing a rocket on Saturday. Police said it received a tip-off that unidentified people had placed a rocket in a drain along Kirani Road. Police and the Bomb Disposal Squad rushed to the site and defused the rocket before it caused any harm.
Police arrested over 60 suspects from various parts of Sariab area of Quetta in connection with the remote-controlled bomb attack on a police vehicle the other day.
