LAHORE: Protests against Sui gas load shedding were witnessed in various parts of the city including Samanabad and Gawalmandi on Friday. Public expressed anger by chanting slogans against the authorities and protested that they had to go to the offices without having breakfast. Gawalmandi residents, in a protest against unscheduled gas load shedding, expressed grief over the ‘inexcusable’ blockage of gas and demanded swift restoration. They blocked the Nisbat road for an hour, burnt tires and holding placards chanted slogans against the Punjab government.
Protestors were protesting in a PML-N constituency and said there was no PML-N representative to answer to their miseries. Protestors said they were already deprived of using heaters and now this load shedding had added fuel to the fire by making cooking almost impossible. They lamented that their kids had to starve in the morning as they could not have breakfast because of gas load shedding.
