Gujranwala schools shine in CM Sports Cup

LAHORE: On the fifth day of the Chief Minister’s Cup first phase, various teams displayed their potential for the final competition at Tehsil level. The players from Thesil Gujranwala, Shakar Garh, Zafarwal, Narowal, Kamoke, Nowshehra, Sialkot, Mandi Bahauddin, Malikwal, Thalia, DG Khan, Sheikhupura, Bahawalpur City, Bahawalpur Saddar, Chiniot, Tallian, Faisalabad and Sargodha performed to their best.
In Tehsil Shakargarh, the final boys football competition was held at Government High School Shakargarh among different schools in which Government High School Kanthala beat Government High Secondary School Mandgari.
In boys volleyball held at Government High School Khera, the host school won the competition after they beat Ghazali Public School Shakargarh.
In boys badminton held at Government High School Shakargarh, Mangari school beat Government High School Shakargarh. In boys athletics, Government Muslim Model High School won with flying colours while Government High Secondary School Kotnaina was placed second. In girls competitions at Tehsil Gujranwala, badminton and volleyball competitions were won by Government High School Shakargarh after they beat Government High School Number 2 Shakargarh.
The girls athletics event was held at Government Girls High School Number 2 Shakargarh and Government Girls High School Magari clinched the overall trophy.
In Tehsil Zafarwal, boys football, volleyball, badminton and athletic competitions were held at various schools. Government High School Zafarwal won football title while volleyball was won by Government High School Lesarkallan and badminton title went to Government High School Damthal.
The athletics competition was held at Zafarwal school which won the competition.
In girls competitions at Tehsil Zafarwal, volleyball and badminton were played and winners were Nonaar school in badminton while Danthal school girls won the volleyball competition.
In Tehsil Narowal, the winning team for boys football was Boobak School and badminton was won by Muslim High School.
MA Girls High School won the athletics and badminton competitions held at Tehsil Narowal. In Kamoke, Government Girls High School Number 1 won the athletics and badminton competitions.
The volleyball, athletics, football and badminton competitions were held at Tehsil Nowshehra. Karyal school got first position in volleyball and football, Maribindaran school won the athletics competition whereas Nowshehra school was the winners of badminton competition.
In Tehsil Daska, the winners in badminton were Mandaranwala school. Jamkecheema school won volleyball and athletics. Daska School claimed badminton while Taliara school got volleyball title.
In Sialkot, Jinnah Efficiency High School won football competition, Marakiwali school won athletics whereas Government Islamia High School won badminton competition.
Lady Anderson High School got first position in girls badminton at Tehsil Sialkot. In Tehsil Mandi Bahauddin, Government High School Mandi Bahauddin is the winning team in football competition. Volleyball and football competitions were being held in Tehsil Malikwal. Government High School Malikwal won both football and volleyball competitions distinctively.
At Tehsil Thalia, football, volleyball and athletics competitions were held at different schools. The football and volleyball competitions were won by Government Poyahasan High School. The athletic competition winner is Pilot High School Thalia. At Tehsil D.G Khan, City school won final football and athletics competitions and for volley ball and badminton, the winner team is Government High School DG Khan.
In Volley ball girls competition at tehsil D.G Khan, Mula Kaif Shah jadeed school won the game, Government model high school won girls badminton competition whereas athletics winner team is Government Central model high school for girls at D.G Khan.
In Tehsil Bahawalpur , boys final football competition was won by Technical School Bahawalpur whereas the winners for athletics are :Sharjeel, Faizan Idresss, Abdul Muqeed, Hameed Arshad, M Zohaib, M.Sajid, M.Ismail, M Shabbar, Rizwan Jameeland from boys athletics from Tehsil Bahawalpur, the winners are : Ishrat Fatima, Faeeqa Fatima, Maira and Noreen Jabeen.
At Tehsil Bahwalpur Saddar, the winners in Final athletics are: Amara Yaseenn , Sana Shahid, Zohra Arooj, Nabila Ghaffar, Shabnam Parveen and Iram.
