QUETTA: A bicycle bomb exploded Friday in the city of Quetta, killing a policeman and wounding four others, police said. The bomb exploded as a police vehicle passed in the suburbs of Quetta, senior police official Hamid Shakil told AFP.
“At least one policeman was martyred and three others and a passer-by were injured in the bomb blast,” Shakil said. Police station officials also confirmed the attack and casualties. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack. Violence has surged this year in Balochistan, which borders Afghanistan and Iran. The province suffers from a separatist insurgency and Taliban militants.
So sad that the militants are openly using IEDs and still the government has no policy against it!
