Sherpao’s grandson ‘kills’ Aitchisonian friend

LAHORE – A student from Aitchison College, reportedly the grandson of PPP-S chairperson and former Interior Affairs minister Aftab Ahmed Sherpao, has been accused of murdering one of his Aitchisonian friends.
The deceased, Mahd Faisal, who was accidentally shot and injured by his friend Muhammad Waleed Sherpao on December 20 at a party in the North Cantonment Police precincts, died in the Neurosurgery Ward of the General Hospital on Thursday.
Mahd was a student of Class C1 at Aitchison College Lahore. Per details, Mahd was at the house of Muhammad Zaman Mohiyuddin Khan with his friends Muhammad Waleed Sherpao, Saad Hassan, Muhammad Haider Sultan, Shahmeer Amjad and Muhammad Sahil for a party on Monday.
Sources said that Waleed started to play around with a loaded gun at the house the party was at and thinking that it was empty, he pressed the trigger. The gun went off and a bullet hit Mahd in the head. He was rushed to Lahore General Hospital, where doctors pronounced him critical. Mahd died of his injuries late on Thursday after being in a coma for more than two days.
Police sources said case number 1581/10 had been registered on December 21 against Mahd’s above-mentioned friends on a complaint by his father Faisal Rehman and investigations were underway. But sources told Pakistan Today that police officials were already trying their best to conceal the facts.
