LAHORE – Factory Area and Defence Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested 10 members of the Zafar Iqbal, Sadriq Masih and Zeeshan alias Shani dacoit gangs including their ringleaders and recovered Rs 0.375 million in cash, four motorcycles, six cellular phones, five pistols and bullets from their procession.
The accused were identified as Sadriq Masih, Irfan Masih, Yasir Shahbaz, Aneel Ashraf Masih, Muhammad Asif, Zafar Javed, Nadeem, Zafar Hussain, Muhammad Ashfaq, Zeeshan alias Shani and Gulfam. The criminals confessed their involvement in a number of incidents of motorcycle theft and snatching, dacoity, robbery and street crimes during preliminary interrogation.
According to details, on directions of Investigation Superintendent of Police (SP) Syed Ameen Bokhari, police collected particulars of Zafar Iqbal, Sadriq Masih and Zeeshan alias Shani dacoit gangs and arrested the above-mentioned culprits.
Police have started further investigation in this regard. Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Aslam Tareen announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the police team. NH&MP claim arresting 15 criminals: The National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP) N-5 Central on Thursday claimed to have arrested 15 criminals involved in various crimes and recovered stolen and lost valuables including gold, cash, vehicles and cellular phones from their procession.
The arrested criminals were identified as Muhammad Asghar, Yasin, Jamshed, Shaukat, Javed, Muhammad Pervez, Zulfiqar, Javed, Naseer Ahmed, Shakeel Ahmed, Muhammad Nadeem, Ramzan and Ali allegedly involved in crimes including possessing illegal weapons, theft, snatching vehicles, stealing sheep and drinking.
On instructions of NH&MP DIG Syed Ibne Hussain, the arrested criminals and recovered valuables were handed over to local police for further investigation. The NH&MP also returned seven lost children to their parents including Uzma, 11, Ijaz, 7, Rabia 5 and Muhammad Shahzad, seven and others.
NH&MP Inspector General Dr Wasim Kausar appreciated the patrolling officers’ performance and urged them to continue their hard work.
