LAHORE – PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif’s spouse Begum Kalsoom Nawaz has vowed to transform women into a dynamic force to guard Pakistan against all odds, driving out corrupt rulers from the country.
She was addressing a function regarding PML-N women’s convention in connection with Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s birth anniversary at Alhamra on Thursday. The convention was attended by Begum Tehmina Doltana, Najma Hameed, Ishrat Sharaf, Begum Zakia Shahnawaz, Zaib Jafar and party MPA and MNAs.
Begum Nawaz said that country’s women were with the PML-N and they had the potential to save the country. “Since the rulers came to power, they did nothing but to engender series of crises like judicial crisis, terrorism, power outage, gas shortage and inflation and disappearance of daily commodities including flour and sugar.
People have been bearing the brunt of government corruption and lavish spending,” she said. She hoped that soon PML-N leadership, Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif, will lead the country.
Begum Tehmina Doltana said that president Zardari’s self-centered policy was the basic problem behind all crises. She said that the nation ‘eyed on’ Sharifs to ‘salvage’ country from ‘destruction’. Najma Hameed said that Nawaz Sharif had Qauid-e-Azam-like qualities and that was why entire nation was standing by him.
