LAHORE: Pakistan Agriculture Scientists Association (PASA) President and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Jamshed Iqbal Cheema on Wednesday said it was the right of the people to have inexpensive flour, sugar, fruits, vegetables and other grocery items. Addressing a meeting of the Agriculture Scientists Association, he regretted that Pakistan was an agricultural country but agricultural products were beyond the reach of the common man. He said PML-N, on coming to power, would end price hike and over 170 million people would have access to edibles at affordable prices.
He paid rich tribute to Nawaz Sharif and said he was the only leader who could ameliorate the lot of the masses and improve the national economy. Cheema said he had been working in the agriculture sector for 30 years and would bring revolutionary changes in the sector. He said he would face Samina Khalid Gurki in the coming election and defeat her.
