PML-N won’t back a move against Raisani

LAHORE: The PML-N has decided to remain silent spectator over possible change of government in Balochistan like its role in the National Assembly, refusing to be a part of any change.
A PML-N senior leader told Pakistan Today that the decision came at a meeting of the provincial organisation committee of Balochistan with Nawaz Sharif in the chair at Raiwind here on Tuesday.
A delegation of provincial organisation committee (Balochistan Chapter), led by provincial organiser Khuda-e-Noor along with Nawabzada Changaiz Khan Marri, Sardar Sana Ullah Khan Zehri, Sardar Yaqoob Khan Nasir, Jamal Shah Kakar, Genearl (retd) Abdul Qadri Baloch, Rafiq Awan, Capt (retd) Abdul Khaliq and Seedal Khan Nasir briefed Nawaz Sharif on the political scenario in Balochistan.
Some members asked Nawaz Sharif to call the shots as several MPAs of PML-Q dissident group in Balochistan had offered their unconditional support to PML-N to topple the government in the province, a reliable source in Raiwind said. He said the meeting discussed the volatile political landscape in Balochistan as well as in the country, taking stock of the party position and its strategy.
The provincial organiser apprised Nawaz of the party membership campaign and process of reorganisation and took him into confidence in terms of progress and future line of action.
The members of the delegation said PML-N was the most promising party and the people of Balochistan lauded Nawaz Sharif for his politics based on principles.
The delegation invited Nawaz Sharif to visit Balochistan at the earliest. Nawaz Sharif accepted the invitation and said if his party came to power, it would redress the grievances unheard since long.
He said PML-N had an agenda to make Gawadar the best port of the world. The agenda, if implemented, would open the flood gates of jobs and progress in Balochistan, he said.
Later, Sardar Sher Muhammad Rind, an important political figure in Sindh, called on Nawaz Sharif and announced to join PML-N. Zafar Iqbal Jhagra and former Sindh Chief Minister Syed Ghaus Ali Shah also attended the meeting.
