ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Malik Ammad Khan on Tuesday contradicted reports about visa applications refusal to 300 Sikh pilgrims.
Responding to a question during the National Assembly session, the minister said the matter was related to the interior ministry, however, he checked with the Interior Ministry officials who termed the reports as false.
He informed the House that a protocol was singed in 1974 in which the number of the people who would visit Pakistan or India for religious purposes had been mentioned.
He said the Foreign Ministry has nothing to do with visas’ matter, however; it works as a bridge between the Interior Ministry and Pakistani High Commission in Dehli.
