One killed, 2 hurt in accidents

OKARA – A person was killed while two others were injured in separate road accidents. Reportedly, Pervez Qayyum, a resident of Zia-ud-Din Colony, was going to Okara on his bike with his friend when a speedy van driven by Muhammad Akram hit him, killing him instantly.
His friend also got injured.
In another incident, Abdul Jabbar, a resident of Chak 48/SP was going home from Haveli Lakha when a tractor driven by Muhammad Younas hit him, injuring him seriously.
PRIVATE SCHOOLS ANNOUNCE HOLIDAYS: All the private educational institutions will remain closed from December 24 to January 1 and will reopen on January 2. This was announced by Okara Private Schools Management Association Chairman Syed Sajjad Haider in a press conference. Vice President Rao Mujeeb Alam, Press and Publication Secretary Tariq Hadi and General Secretary Hafeez Ullah Nizami also accompanied him.
TWO GIRLS ABDUCTED: Armed kidnappers abducted two girls and a boy from their houses in two incidents. In the first incident, two armed people, Tahir and Riaz, along with their accomplice Bashiran forced an entry into the house of Shamman, a resident of Chak 36/4-L, and abducted her young daughter Baila and son Ali.
In another incident, three armed people Allah Rakha, Majeed and Irfan, entered the house of Muhammad Ramzan and abducted his daughter Nadra.
LESS SPACE IN GRAVEYARD CREATING PROBLEM: The burial of dead bodies has become a problem because of less space in Ghorey Shah graveyard.
The residents of Sabri Colony, Mohallah Faizabad, Seth Colony, Hussain Colony, Government Colony, Church Road and the other areas bury their dead relatives in the graveyard Ghorey Shah. The number of graves is increasing day by day and fresh burials have become a problem owing to the less capacity of the graveyard. The grave excavators often charge more than the amount fixed by the government. Their rude behaviour is also a problem for the people as they demand extra money from them. But the district administration has done nothing in this regard.
